I know what I said about thigh-high slits, and I still stand by it, but Bella Hadid’s Givenchy gown is an exception. Some photos are so dark, you can’t appreciate the tufts at the bottom unless you see a close-up with flash. The result is spectacular. At first, I thought she was wearing thigh-high boots, but it’s actually sheer stockings tucked into peep toe heels.

I love black. I grew up with a mother who wore all black everyday in the 90s. And now I wear it everyday. I love it so much, I went through a brief phase where I thought I would get married in it.

Look at how generous Hadid is with her boyfriend, The Weeknd, standing a few steps below to make him look taller. That’s commitment. That is sacrifice.

After the party, Hadid snapchatted herself writhing around on her bed in her corset and heels because she’s 19 and that’s what you do.
